Welcome to the Regional Public Transportation Coordination Plan (RPTCP) Forum › Forums › Transportation Resource Inventory › How do I get them to respond???
I am having trouble with getting replies to our survey…we made sure that the letters/emails were sent to specific people and not just to agencies, etc. We have followed up with reminders and even tried to get people to simply give us the info over the phone…not having nearly as much luck with this as I would like.
Thanks

This is a tough one. I just kept sending e-mails and calling. There are still some agencies that were left off due to no response since I had a deadline. I will continue to gather their information so it can be included in the final Regional Plan. I also would “hound” them at the monthly meetings. Sorry I couldn’t be more help :/ Good luck!!
Has anyone tried incentives to encourage responses to the inventory survey ?
Interesting thought…I haven’t…what type of incentives are you thinking about?
While it is somewhat labor intensive, I have offered to go to the transit provider and collect the inventory information we are collecting through an on-site interview. For some, it seems scheduling and holding an informal meeting is easier than getting around to completing a survey. For more technical fleet information we allow providers to submit in any format that may already exist. (Bob Schwab)
